Aurora Borealis

Last night the nothern lights were shimmering beautifully in the sky. It was 10:30 pm and we woke Alec up so he could see them. It was his first time seeing them. They were a shimmery white and green and seemed to cover a huge part of the sky.

Science East

Today we went to a school that had hands on activities from Science East. We went with the homeschoolers and had a great turnout. I think the kids had fun and learned some things too. I had to leave early because my back and arm were still sore and Bram was getting fussy but Alec seemed finished anyway.

For those who know me - LOL

Martha Stewart: You are the anal bitch. You have to
have things done just so. In fact, forget it.
You will do it yourself. No one else can do it
right, can they.

Are you a list bitch?

Highs and Lows

Well it was an interesting weekend full of highs and lows. First Bram turned one today! We had a birthday dinner on Saturday with family and my good friend and midwife Jennifer. I also attended International Midwifery Day in Fredericton and it was a wonderful experience with strong woman standing up for their beliefs wanting to affect change. My low for the weekend was a sorrowful emotional experience about a family member. I also have to say that I have a great Mother and Father in law and I love them dearly.

Faded words

Why is it that the most insightful journal entries come to me while driving somewhere or while putting the kids to sleep but when I sit here I can’t find the words that were there then, sigh.

However, some very exciting news. Bram took 6 steps last night and did it several times. I’m hoping he will be walking by the time my sister and her 18 month old come for a visit in 2 weeks.
