Back to Work

The weekend went by quickly but was fun. We went to Nana’s for her birthday and had a good time. Driving back home today through Miramichi we saw Andrea and the kids walking with her Aunt Tammy in downtown Newcastle. We then stopped at French Fort Cove so the kids could stretch their legs. Bram doesn’t like long drives so he really needed to get out. We went for a walk and then the kids played at the playground. Then amazingly enough we were looking at rocks and we found some fossils there. It seems now that we know what we are looking for we may find them in lots of places. We had read in this great book The last Billion Years: A geological History of the Maritimes that the Miramichi was mostly of the upper carboniferous period.

Tomorrow I have a whack of housecleaning and decluttering to do. By the way, what the heck is a whack? I say it all the time. Hmm, let’s look that up… On a quick search, I can’t find anything. Anyone else know?
