My brother is in Afghanistan for 13 months working as a civilian contract position by the Canadian military as a Fire Fighter/Paramedic. He left in July and fortunately he has access to the internet and email with his laptop. I’ve set up a blog for him so we can read about his experiences while he is there. I’m hoping he decides to use it. I’ll let you know when it’s ready.

On a side note, my birthday is in 6 more days. August 16 where I will turn 34. Each year the number seems so much older but I don’t think I feel any different inside until I start seeing others who are younger, ie. in their 20’s and I realize I am different inside. The change must be so gradual that we don’t notice it.
