A Time for Firsts

This trip was a wonderful time of first experiences.
1. First trip to Newfoundland
2. First trip to Cape Breton
3. First time playing cribbage
4. First time to drink Emu Fine Tawny Port
5. First time to learn some judo moves.
6. First time skiing in 15 years
7. First time getting a dislocated shoulder.
8. First time to meet someone that I had met online
9. First time, and best of all to meet Mitch.

Now on the subject of Mitch. I have to say in all honesty and it is lamentable, that we did not find e-love. We were attracted to each other as people but the cupid factors did not line up for us, for either of us and not for lack of trying. We had a wonderful visit, we laughed, had fun, were comfortable together, fit together in so many ways, except one. It is something that has disappointed the both of us and in some ways doesn’t seem fair that everything else would line up but that. We are very good friends and I think we will remain good friends forever in one capacity or another. My friendship with Mitch certainly helped me through a difficult time and it’s helped me recognize what characteristics are important to me in a partner. Mitch certainly shared many of those characteristics. The universe has a strange sense of order in that it would leave out the chemistry. I don’t regret the experience at all though and my friendship with Mitch is very valued.
