Clarification and welcome

I’d like to welcome my friend Rob to the blog world. He has some interesting comments about being a single dad with kids.

His post prompted some reflection on my previous post and I thought I should clarify in case of potential misunderstandings. Although his post was not directed at mine. I am not adverse to getting involved/date, etc. with someone who already has kids. I just think I’m finished having any more biological kids of my own.

Last night Alec played soccer and had a lot of fun. Bram wanted to join in too and kept trying to run out to the field and grab the ball. Then in the middle of the night, Bram woke up and vomited everywhere. Then minutes later Alec woke up and had a problem, sigh. Needless to say, I’m tired today:)

Sniff

Ok, so I hadn’t been posting regularly and now I am posting more but I seem to have lost all my regular commenters:( Where is everyone? I promise to post faithfully, haha:)

Busy but fun

This week was busy but fun. I played basketball, went biking with a friend (got sopping wet) and went to a bbq with the kids tonight at the unitarian fellowship. Alec had a blast playing with another little homeschooled boy that was there. This morning we went to visit friends in Stanley that we hadn’t seen since we moved away from there 1 1/2 years ago. Tomorrow, I’m taking the kids to the farmer’s market and then they’re off to Dad at supper time:) I called a bunch of potential clients this week, hopefully some of them will be interested in having a website.

Bits & Pieces

Last night I was reading to Bram and at the end of the story, the mice all went to sleep. He started to cry then. Alec always did that too, whenever, the “person” in the book went to sleep, he’d fall apart. It’s so funny because it’s not that they don’t want to go to bed or anything like that. It’s some sort of transition phase, as in the story is over or something because they’re asleep. It’s bizarre , anyone else notice that?

I’ve made a lot of new friends lately. I managed to get an exercise bike in exchange for a few hours of webwork:) I love the barter system, although, I can’t live off that totally, unless the grocery store wants to barter with me;)

Tomorrow night I play my weekly game of basketball. I’m having a blast playing again and my shot is quite good again if I say so myself;) Then this weekend, I am taking a white water canoe course! I’m soooooo excited about this. We’re going to loon bay on the St. Croix. I’m going to be a wild, wet, white water woman;)

Alec’s soccer was cancelled last night due to weather and possibly tonight too:( They’re looking forward to spending the weekend with Kevin.

Sigh, I can’t remember my username/password info for allconsuming, so can’t change my book list, haha.
