Weekend Synopsis

Sat: was a typical morning market day. Then in the afternoon, I went canoeing and swimming with a friend. The wind was really strong, made it virtually impossible to canoe against the current and actually get anywhere. We had fun though, swam and had a picnic.

Sun: Morning, celebrated Lughnasa/lammas at fellowship. Afternoon, went with a friend for supper and to see iRobot. Not a bad movie at all.

Mon: Took the kids to the country pumpkin to see the animals. They had fun and we went for an ice cream after. Alec played soccer last night.

I’m hobbling for the most part. I injured my knee at basketball last week and I don’t think I’m going to be able to play this week. In fact, it’d probably be stupid of me to even try. But I am thinking of just going to shoot some baskets, no running.

So today is back to work, on new projects, looking for new clients again, etc.

School

Well, I’ve been giving this a lot of hard thought lately. I may have to put Alec in school and Bram in daycare 2 days/week. I don’t want to and I’m not sure how it will work out, but I may not have a choice. My business is growing which is a good and necessary thing as a single mom now. I don’t know if I will have the time to do Alec’s homeschooling. He is self motivated for the most part which is good, but there are some things like math, history, etc. that I need to work with him on. And having Bram in daycare or some sort of care 2 days a week, (even if it’s only mornings) would make it easier to get more done. I do a lot of my work in the evenings as well, but the bulk of it needs to be done during the day. I may just try it with both of them and if it’s not working, then pull them out and just manage the best I can. All food for thought for now. There is talk of us forming an alternative school for Sept. 2005 or so. That is something I would really like, so who knows what will happen.

Me

This is a picture taken of me last week. I’m getting there slowly but surely. 10/15 more lbs to go till target goal.

Blatant Hint

My birthday is in 11 days;) I’ll be the big 35, half way to 40. Although everyone tends to tell me I look around 27. I don’t know if I should be greatful for looking younger or not. Although when I’m 45, I won’t mind looking 37, lol.

flying by

The summer seems to be flying by, August will be over all too soon. Saturday was a typical market day with the kids. Today I had the most fabulous time canoeing and a picnic lunch. Fortunately the weather held off, despite threat of thundershowers.

Too zonked to write any more tonight.
