A Canadian icon died yesterday. Pierre Berton will be remembered by many.

My house is trashed. I’m looking after a friend’s 1 1/2 year old today. Already between him and Bram, they’ve taken out every toy, mushed food into the carpet and now it looks like a hurricane hit here;)

Last night I took Alec to the Thursday Night Science Series put on by Science East. Last night was about Robots. They built robots from some kits and let the kids play with them. They learned a little about switches and circuits. It was all geared towards a young audience. Alec had a blast.

I’m going nuts today. Can’t relax. I think today I will be finding out if I got the job that I was interviewed for last week. They contacted me after we had sent in our “homework” and asked me to “supply two to three professional
references to help with final deliberations . . . ” So I must be in the running for it. I just wish the phone would ring …

Found out they’ve called two of my references over the last day or so. But if they’re deciding today, there’s not much time left in the day to call. So, unless they’re waiting till Monday, which I don’t think they are, then that doesn’t bode well….
