Nope, I’m not still sick. I did get better. I had a nasty virus that, well, you wouldn’t want to know the details.

I’ve been humming and hawing about my blog as I’m thinking that I’m going to put it on hold for a little while. My life consists of the kids, work and the gym. I’m not even playing basketball:( At least not for another three weeks when the season starts. I’ve been doing a lot of webwork over the past month on top of my day job. With Alec back in school, the list of expenses needed for the kids goes up, so I have to make some extra money. Unfortunately Kevin hasn’t had any luck finding a job so a lot of the financial stuff for the kids has become my responsibility. I’m hopeful he will have a job soon though as he is always good about paying half of the kids things when he is working. Alec is also supposed to start orthodontic work in October so that’s a bit of a scary thought financially. My benefits don’t cover very much. I’m also helping my sister with research for a business that she is starting (and if it is successful, I will benefit from it as well:))

Going to the gym does help burn off a lot of the stress and helps to fuel me. I’m getting muscles I never knew I had. I discovered that we don’t use our triceps very often in day to day stuff, and they really, really hurt when you first start using them, lol.

I never would have thought I’d end up being someone who is virtually a workaholic and practically no social life (a date, what’s that?), but that’s what my life is like. I just tell myself it’s temporary. I want to do more than just get by with the kids. I want opportunities to be available to them and to us.

Alec has had a great couple of days of back to school. He had lots to tell me about and so far things seem off to a good start. I will be meeting with his teacher to go over some of the potential challenges.

So, you may not hear from me as often for the next little while. I am doing ok though, just super busy.
