Drupal

Our new business is using drupal as a our framework for our website. It’s going to be considerably hacked and customized, but it is using a drupal foundation. CMS (content management systems) are both wonderful and semi-frustrating to work with, but overall I think they’re making life a lot easier and flexible for website creation. Having dynamic content created so easily and being able to have your clients do their own updates/editing is a huge bonus. I think if I do any more web design for clients, many of them will be CMS based.

Anyone reading this used drupal?

Oh, and if anyone knows how to have youtube videos embedded in the posts like I saw at Dean’s World. I confess to attempting a couple of plugins from WP, and nothing seems to be working, they all remove the html code, something to do with tinymce I think.

Yep, i think TinyMCE is what does it. THere are a couple of plugins that make runnign the videos easier too. (I mayhave to hunt this one down if you need the specifics.)

And I;ve only tinkered with Drupal. I coudl make my way aroudn the backend easily enough though. :D
