I think I’ve warped Bram, my 4 1/2 year old. We’ve been reading this book, Otto goes to Bed lately. Those of you with kids, know the routine, reading the same story, night after night after night. So the other night after the gazillionth time of reading this library book that is going back VERY soon, I decided to improvise. So I change the wording throughout the book to potato variations. So when it said that Otto was dreaming of digging up bones, I said that Otto was dreaming of digging up potatoes. I did this throughout the book. It had Bram in stitches, he was laughing so hard. So tonight I read it to him the correct way and I say goodnight and leave the bedroom. As I passed by his room a few minutes later, I hear him “reading” to himself (he has it memorized) but he’s using the potato version and each time he says potato, he starts laughing, lol.

And then I was remembering a trend with potatoes. Maybe I warped my kid calling him a potato head as a baby;)
