Mom

My thoughts always turn to my Mom on Sept. 2. Time goes by and over the years I realize that I can go days without thinking about my Mom, or until something triggers a memory. Bram has been starting to understand and ask questions about family dynamics, who is my Mom and Dad, etc. He never knew his Grammy although he insists that he does, and who knows maybe he does. It is a distant memory for Alec, now made up of mostly photographs. I leave you with this old post that sums up everything still today.

Dear Lisa, Thanks for the v&c. I love to stay up late but it does make me hungry and I don’t need the extra calories. What a lovely tribute to your mom this Sept.2. I of course cried for you. It touched my heart and I could relate to a lot of things you talked about. There’s nothing like a mom, good or bad. There is a connection whether we like it or not. Four years is not a long enough time to go through the grieving process. My mom is gone since 94 and I still think of her and know the relationship was strained for too many wasted years. I honestly don’t ever remember her ever say “I love you”. She was able to show it in my later years but everyone likes to hear it. My youngest daughter and grandson have broken the family ties and left us seven months ago. I feel that is just like a death to me. My sone was murdered in 2000 and I still have my bouts of reflections. You were so right about your mom, she did what she knew and that was all she could do, same with mine. Because of our pasts, we in turn learn and become better parents and our children will also be better parnets than us. In the end we will all be together anyway and it will all be perfect! I have a “grief expression” blog at yahoo360uk I hope someday to transfer it over here to be seen by my visitors. Leave a comment on my blog as “help” and I will come back and comfort you with a excerpt from my other blog. Here’s a sample: TO LIVE IN HEARTS WE LEAVE BEHIND IS NOT TO DIE. God Bless and keep you and your family safe in His heart always! I love you, oohugs and xxkisses to you and your children, coming from a grammy.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the v&c and returning some comfort to me. Don’t forget to let me know when the blues hits you again. Have a good weekend. Bless you.
