Telegraph-Journal launches new look

I finally got caught up on the papers today and I discovered that the Telegraph-Journal launched a new look. I have to say I love it. Lucie Lacava’s design for it is modern, clean, bright and easy to navigate. I know it’s Irving owned, etc. etc.;), but kudos to the TJ for a fabulous new design. I’m looking forward to seeing their revamp of the Reader/Salon when it comes out.

Melikes the new design of the TJ — interestingly, it reminds me alot of the Toronto Star.

btw, your comments preview feature is pretty cool ;) Fun typing and seeing how it’ll turn out below… okay, I’ll stop now…

Hey Harrap, that’s not surprising because Lucie Lacava also designed the Toronto Star.

Ah yes that makes sense :) The Toronto Star’s format is nice too, guess aint bad that TJ takes similar style ;)

The TJ’s sister publication, the Times & Transcript (the small-town paper lacking small-town charm) could also use a makeover. However, instead of a facelift, I wish they’d start with real journalism and in-depth and investigative reporting, all with a fair and unbiased slant.

    Can’t see it happening, though…

In the meantime, I wish someone would tell them that Survivor and Canadian Idol are NOT news and don’t deserve to headline the paper or individual sections thereof.
