More picking on the DG

Today’s headline:

City to get its first drive-thru bank

“… the mall will build a new structure to house a bank with the city’s first banking maching drive-thru.”

Umm, I’ve been using the drive-thru bank machine at the Capital Credit Union in Devon for a few years now…. Who researched that article? And if anyone wants to be nitpicky and say a Credit Union isn’t a bank;) It’s not relevant because the drive-thru bank machine works there with any interac card.

Aw Lisa, maybe we can start a club. You take on the Gleaner, I’ll take CBC. LOL. I think you’ll have better luck getting change though.

LOL, Spinks, you’ve definitely got the CBC bit down. I confess to listening to CBC every morning;) I really like the sound of Terry Seguin’s voice, lol;)

LOL. That’s okay, I listen too. I pay for it I figure I have to. You don’t have to buy the Gleaner though.

Unfortunately, it’s practically the only way to know when things like kindergarten registration, or cub registration, etc. type things are being held. I’ve gone through times when I’ve unsubscribed from it and then regrettted that I didn’t know about some event or thing happening in the city. I like the idea of a local daily paper. I don’t expect it to compete with big papers with world news, etc. but I’d just like to see the DG try to improve a bit.

    Boy, that’s different…

The Times and Transcript would run a story claiming someone was dead and then refuse to print a correction/retraction even if that same person showed up on their doorstep alive and kicking.

Maybe there’s hope for Brunswick News yet…(but I still doubt it).
