Boston Here I come

I have to admit, that I always feel an excitement about travelling somewhere, even when it’s for work. The unknown, new sites to see, people to meet and things to do all kind of make me feel like a little girl, giddy with excitement, lol. So I’m heading to Boston this weekend. We’re sponsoring the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and we will have a booth at the Expo. I’ve been through Boston briefly by car. I’ve been in the airport, but it will be my first trip to actually visit and stay in Boston.

So what’s a must see in Boston?

    congrats! i ADORE boston!

where are you staying? how long will you be there? i can try to give you lots of hints if i know more, but i say walking the Freedom Trail if you have time is interesting. walk through Boston Common and Public Gardens…walk through the Beacon Hill area and go down Acorn St. (very very narrow) and John Kerry’s brownstone is nearby. walk down Newberry St and sit in a cafe (if warm enough) or go shopping at all the neat shops (my fav is Life is Good). i am not sure the Fenway park tours are on yet, it might be too early. oh and if you get a chance go to Quincy Market and Faneuill Hall and the nearby harbour area.

if you get out to Cambridge, walk around Harvard and nearby harvard square.

I think the Freedom trail is on. And the New England Aquarium too. I’ll be there from Friday evening till Monday morning with Sat. being a work day. I heard there is a big St. Patrick’s day parade on the Sunday, so may check that out. I won’t have a lot of time to do much, but I’ll try to squeeze in as much as I can:)
