To Wii or not to Wii

I’m thinking of getting the kids a wii for xmas but wondered if anyone had any personal experience. I have to admit that I always said that I wouldn’t buy a nintendo, xbox, etc. as we had computers and I couldn’t see the point for just playing games. But I like how the wii has a physical activity element to it, so I’m considering it.

Anyone?

    My thinking has always been the opposite… I’d rather the kids play games on the Nintendo than the computer. The Gamecubes and Xboxes, etc, are designed for gaming. My computer is designed for word processing and image editing. Besides, I’ve always had problems with the computer after loading games for the kids. I’d much rather spend $150 for a Nintendo DS than lose 17,000 image files.

    As for a Wii…no experience with that, I’m afraid. Can’t help you there.
