Where did the weekend go?

I worked most of the weekend, night and day kind of blurred together. Although I managed to visit a friend who in return for some design work I had done for him, offered me a therapeutic massage. It hurt. Although in a good way, need to work out those kinks in my back and neck from too much time at the computer. I did take some time off on Sunday to take the kids for a walk to the park. There was no Friday night movie for me unfortunately.

I’ve been working and working and working, and all that work has made Lisa a very dull person, lol.

We’re finally gearing up to start our actual pre-launch marketing campaign, slowly but surely:)

Instead of going straight to the site, have some fun with it;) Created by Andrea, one of my favorite bloggers:)

What kind of intelligence do you have?

This quiz completely mucked up my blog template in a graphic format, so I had to do text only. Snagged from Jo.

Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence
You shine in your ability to relate to and understand others.
Good at seeing others’ points of view, you get how people think and feel.
You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations.
A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict.

You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person.
What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?
More posts coming later on some other topics. About SEX, lol, jk. Yeah, I know, sigh, you miss the good old days when I used to talk about sex;)

Apparently, I’m a Mandarin

Snagged from Kymberley.

You’re an intellectual, and you’ve worked hard to get where you are now. You’re a strong believer in education, and you think many of the world’s problems could be solved if people were more informed and more rational. You have no tolerance for sloppy or lazy thinking. It frustrates you when people who are ignorant or dishonest rise to positions of power. You believe that people can make a difference in the world, and you’re determined to try.

Dear Santa

I’ve been a good (boring) girl this year.

This year for Xmas I’d like;

1. a new basketball (so the guys at bball can stop complaining that mine doesn’t feel right, no don’t go there Santa;))

2. a –censored–

3. time (hey if you’ve got it figured out how to fly around the world in one night, I’m sure you can share the time thing)

4. and a –censored–

5. a gift certificate from Avalon Salon Spa (I’ve asked for this for xmas for about 3 years now Santa, still waiting - note to self - make 2007 the year to budget in spa certificate)

6. Snow for the kids on xmas morning, although just enough to dust the ground. I don’t want to shovel anything.

So Santa, I don’t think that’s too much to ask for. Oh and #4, well, if you can’t find that, that’s ok, but no knock off’s, has to be the real thing.

Finding Balance

I know I’ve blogged so many times about needing to find balance between my work, kids and life. So many times over the last 6 months or so, I’d try but get sidetracked with work or the kids were sick or I was sick and so on. There was always something that would throw me off. But really that’s the whole purpose of finding balance so that when life intervenes you don’t let everything fall apart. So I think I’m on the cusp of finding balance. I’m still working a lot but I’m making time for me again. I’m working out again, putting in my 10,000+ steps/day, eating right, quit caffeine again and feel great. The business is doing well, I’m dating, catching up with friends and enjoying my time with the kids.

This summer is going to be amazing. I’m planning to hike Mt. Katahdin and finally learn how to kayak. They were on my list 2 summers ago, so it’s time. And maybe even squeeze in that scuba diving course I’ve been wanting to take. And I’d like to take the kids to Boston. Maybe before long, I’ll be able to get my bike out:) I’m hoping this is the year that Bram learns how to ride without training wheels.

So yeah, I’m in a good frame of mind:)
