Sunday Snow

Well more snow again last night and today. I’m not sure how much we got but it must have been around 15-20 cm. We’re supposed to go sliding with the homeschool group here but I don’t think we’re going to make it. I’m feeling rather blah today. I’ve got to work on the Midwives website and make a flyer for a family resource center that is being started in my area.

Science East

Today we went to a school that had hands on activities from Science East. We went with the homeschoolers and had a great turnout. I think the kids had fun and learned some things too. I had to leave early because my back and arm were still sore and Bram was getting fussy but Alec seemed finished anyway.

Bike Rodeo

This morning an RCMP officer was here to discuss final details about the bike rodeo we’ve organized in St. Margarets for Saturday. I hope we have a good turnout. The kids around here really need some bike safety tips. This afternoon fellow homeschooler friends Andrea and Carol are coming over for a visit. I can’t wait.

Chaotic Fun

We had a great visit with 9 kids between the 3 of us:-) Never a loss for words between us, lol.

Also, I’m going to be updating the homeschooling blog every other day so I’m not going to post here each time I do, just assume it’s being updated:-)

Small Town

Since moving here to Miramichi in February I have been amazed at how nearly everytime I go out, I see people I know. What is amazing about this is that I don’t know a lot of people. To break it down, I know;
1. homeschoolers - knowing well about 6 families with another 3 to recognize by sight
2. Kevin’s co-workers - about 4 people
3. My neighborhood - about 7 families
4. Breastfeeding support group - 4 families
5. misc. people - about 5 people

So that’s a total of 29 people in a town of a population of 18,000. Amazing.
1. today I saw Andrea
2. Last Thurday saw neighbor’s husband at grocery store
3. A week ago ran into another homeschooling mom at Garden nursery
4. Saw lady from breastfeeding support group at mall last Wednesday
and this goes on and on. This is one of the reasons I really like it here, it has such a small town feel but isn’t really small.
