The History of the internet in NB

For all you NB’ers that wondered how the internet process in NB started. It only starts being familiar to me at about 1988. I had done a post not that long on my recollections of the internet.

Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. -JFK

Something has been building for a while with my thoughts about my blog. And so there are going to be changes in the future. My blog has been a reflection in many ways of my life. It was definitely a personal blog. I started out blogging about the kids, about homeschooling and attachment parenting interspersed with my views of the world. Then after the separation of my marriage, it became about my transition as a single mother, as a woman and not just a wife or mother.  Over the past year, I have transitioned into a very busy executive role in a corporation that is growing rapidly and that has impacted my blogging from a privacy perspective and interest perspective.

I have taken a couple of large breaks from blogging over the last 4 years and part of that it is because I think that this format for who I am as a personal blog isn’t really working for me anymore. I have found facebook to be a great way for family and friends to stay in touch, see pictures of the kids and find out what is happening with us. But for a while now, I have been feeling an urge to start a new blog that is less personal and more about issues related to items that are important to what I do on a daily basis. So while I will still likely occasionally blog in here, I will be announcing a new blog in the coming month while I prepare it for launch.

So what is this new blog? Well;

I don’t profess to be the next Guy Kawasaki or Seth Godin.
It will have NB and maritime flavour
It will be online media related

That’s all the tidbits for now.

Stay tuned

 p.s. Happy Halloween! If you see a kid dressed as an ipod, that’s Alec;)
