Automation

This shows that there is no end to ingenuity. The Popularity Dialer snagged from Electric Venom. Now they just need to add in some calls that are automated for birthdays/anniversary’s, etc. Give them the time and date for the automatic phone call, and hook it up with that automatic flower delivery service that you program in your partner’s birthday/ anniversary, etc. and it sends the flowers out on those days. Anyone remember the name of that service? Seems to me it was geared towards men who kept forgetting those important days.

With “The Popularity Dialer”, you can plan ahead. Via a web interface, you can choose to have your phone called at a particular time (or several times). At the elected time, your phone will be dialed and you will hear a prerecorded message that’s one half of a conversation. Thus, you will be prompted to have a fake conversation and will easily fool those around you.

Still shaking my head.

101 People who are screwing up Canada

I was catching up on the NB blogroll links and discovered a new blog to discuss the 101 people who are screwing up Canada, created by Spink About It. It should be both entertaining and interesting to say the least. Although, how he’ll mesh the opinions of the left and right should be interesting, as I suspect their lists would be different;) Although Spinks is taking that into account and trying to base his decision on the impact. It sounds like the anti-list of Canada’s Greatest Canadians.

Making Treadmill walking a little more interesting

This gives a whole new meaning to Step to the Beat. I bet they got their 10,000 steps in that day.

Thanks to Andrea for helping me solve the youtube embedding issue. Now I’m going to go hog wild on youtube embedding;)

Basketball, Blogs and Boys

I had fun at basketball last night. Knock on wood, but so far my shoulder is really holding well. It’s starting to look like the orthodepic surgeon was right about taking the time off;)

When I got back home I found some technical difficulties with my blog. I couldn’t post, comments couldn’t be left. I had wierd error messages all over the pages that were failed to open stream: Too many open files” and bunch of other gobbedlygook. However I contacted zenutech my prompt host and they took care of it right away. However at the same time I discovered that technorati had a hiccup. I’d lost nearly all my incoming links. The link that Mack from the Viral Garden had so graciously posted on his site had disappeared as well as all the NB blogroll links. I was left with 4 incoming links. However this morning, I discovered that all is well and the links are back. Not sure if that was co-incidence with what happened with my server last night or not.

I had the ultimate statement yesterday from Bram. He told me when he grew up he was going to marry me;) Of course last week he told me he wanted a baby sister and could I marry Alec or Grandad so I could have a husband to have a baby, lol.

Swamped

I’ll write a longer post soon, but I’m swamped right now. I did want to give kudos to the liberal government today for their press release related to childhood obesity and tackling diabetes. The two are intrically linked and need to be tackled in tandem. I have a lot more to say on the subject, but no time.

For humour, check out this gruesome site, be neat to have family portraits like this, lol.
